BREAST AUGMENTATION: FAQ'S

5 MOST COMMON QUESTIONS PATIENTS FREQUENTLY ASK BEFORE UNDERGOING BREAST AUGMENTATION SURGERY?

Q1: Will it leave a Scar?

Ans: Well yes. Every surgery leaves a scar. But in Breast Augmentation surgery the scar is placed under the breast (infra- mammary crease) where it remains well hidden and frequently merges with the indentations that the brasserie leaves behind.

Q2: Will I need to get the Silicon Implants removed after some time?

Ans: No. Implant removal is only needed if the patient wants to change the previous ones with bigger ones, or there is a complication like rupture of implant due to some accident or otherwise. Its commonly a personal choice rather than a dictum that needs to be followed.

Q3: Will I be able to breast feed after the surgery?

Ans: Yes. Breast augmentation surgery has not shown to reduce the chances of breast feeding in many studies. The implants are placed under the breast tissue or under the muscle beneath the breast, without disturbing the normal breast anatomy.

Q4: Will my breasts look and feel natural?

Ans: Yes. When an appropriate size implant is inserted the natural look of the breast is enhanced. The consistency of the silicon filled implants is similar to the breast tissue rendering the breast a natural contour and feel.

Q5: How big will be my breasts after the surgery?

Ans: It depends on the size of the implant. The minimum increase in the projection of breast is 3- 5 cms apart from the overall increase in the size of the breast.
